This checklist is
intended principally for use by the DisputesResolved
administrator who first comes into contact with a prospective disputant/party
or their representative, often by telephone. The object of the checklist
is to assist DisputesResolved
to establish a rapport with the person, to identify the type of dispute,
to explore appropriate method(s) for resolution, to indicate the relative
cost, time and stress implications of alternative methods and to ensure
confidentiality of communications. The preferred method of completion of
the checklist is by a prospective party and the DisputesResolved
administrator going through the questions together, but the checklist may
also be completed by Internet users and forwarded to DisputesResolved
as a means of initiating contact.
